AlterCall × OptiPhoenix:A Redesigned Calendar Page Lifted Qualified Call Confirmations by 21.97%

The Challenge

The calendar page is the last step in AlterCall’s booking funnel. It is the point where a prospect either confirms a call or walks away. On this page, the banner repeated the same heading already shown on the landing page. As a result, a returning prospect had no new reason to act. The benefits of booking a call were placed under a separate section instead of on the page itself. The calendar also showed no days by default, so a prospect landed on the page with nothing to click.

OptiPhoenix partnered with AlterCall to test whether redesigning this page would reduce that friction. The goal was to move more prospects through to a confirmed call.

Finding the Missing Signal

The booking tool was there. But nothing on the page told a prospect why this final step mattered or made it easy to begin.

A calendar with no visible dates does not read as ready to use. Instead, it reads as something to figure out. A banner that repeats the landing page heading does not create a new reason to act, because it reads as a message the prospect has already seen. The gap sat between a prospect who was close to booking and a page that gave them no fresh signal to finish the job.

The Hypothesis

OptiPhoenix proposed that adding urgency to the banner heading, surfacing the benefits of the call directly on the page, and showing calendar availability by default would increase engagement with the date and time picker and carry through to more confirmed calls.

The Experiment

OptiPhoenix ran a controlled A/B test on the calendar page, mobile only, over 13 days (11 to 28 January 2026), split 50/50.

Variant A (Control): The original banner, with the landing page heading repeated, benefits under a separate section, and no calendar days shown by default.

Variant B (Test): A redesigned banner with an urgency-driven heading, the call’s benefits surfaced directly, and a limited-time tag added to the top right.

Metrics measured: interaction with the calendar, date and time interaction, form interaction, submit interaction, and bounce rate. These were tracked separately for qualified and super qualified segments.

The Result

Making the calendar page easier to act on moved prospects further down the funnel.

Interaction with the date field rose from 60.00% to 75.43%, a 25.71% increase. Interaction with the time field rose from 80.37% to 86.29%, a 7.36% increase. The overall call booking rate rose from 74.58% to 85.14%, a 14.2% increase.

Among qualified prospects, Call Confirmation Page visits rose from 64.42% to 78.57%, a 21.97% increase. Among super qualified prospects, the same metric rose from 68.40% to 70.48%, a 3.04% increase.

Impact

A redesigned calendar page moved qualified prospects further through the booking flow and cut the effort required to confirm a call.

Redesigned calendar page improved the booking flow, increasing date field interactions, call booking rate, and call confirmation page visits among qualified prospects.

  • 25.71% increase in date field interaction
  • 14.2% increase in overall call booking rate
  • 21.97% increase in Call Confirmation Page visits among qualified prospects
  • 3.04% increase in Call Confirmation Page visits among super qualified prospects
  • Smoother progression from calendar page to confirmed call

Lessons Learned

An empty calendar is an extra decision. Showing available days by default removed a step that stood between intent and action. That is why date interaction moved the most of any metric tested.

Urgency works best on prospects who are still deciding. Qualified prospects saw a 21.97% lift in call confirmations, while super qualified prospects saw only 3.04%. This gap shows the redesign influenced the audience closer to the decision point, not the audience that was already convinced.

Repetition is not reinforcement. A heading a prospect has already read does not carry more weight the second time. A distinct message at this final step gave them something new to respond to.

Partnership Snapshot

What Matters

AlterCall’s qualified prospects were not dropping off because they lacked interest, they were dropping off at a page that gave them no reason to act and no easy way to begin. By redesigning the banner for urgency and clarity and showing calendar availability upfront, the final step of the funnel started doing its job and confirmed calls followed.
