THE PANT PROJECT × OPTIPHOENIX: 9.20% REVENUE UPLIFT BY ADDING SEARCH TO MOBILE NAVIGATION

Flooret’s Sample Kit Product Detail Page (PDP) needed to help shoppers explore flooring samples, understand their options, and place an order.
The original page displayed product imagery, sample kit details, and an ordering CTA. However, the experience left room to make product selection more visual and the ordering process more accessible.

The opportunity was to redesign the mobile PDP so shoppers could explore the available samples and move toward purchasing a kit more easily.
The Sample Kit PDP served customers who wanted to explore flooring options before placing an order. The existing experience included product imagery and sample information, but the redesign explored a more interactive way of presenting those details.
Rather than relying primarily on the existing product presentation, the variation introduced clearer collection choices, visual product tiles, and additional ways to access the ordering action.
The focus was on making sample selection and ordering more connected within the same page experience.
OptiPhoenix tested whether redesigning the mobile Sample Kit PDP could improve customer engagement and purchasing behavior.

The variation brought collection selection, product imagery, and ordering actions into a more interactive layout. The hypothesis was that making these elements easier to explore and access would encourage more shoppers to purchase sample kits.
The original Sample Kit PDP was compared against a redesigned mobile variation.
Variant A (Control): The existing PDP, featuring sample kit imagery, product details, collection information, and an Order Sample CTA.
Variant B (Test): A redesigned PDP experience featuring:

The experiment evaluated interactions with the ordering CTA, sticky Add to Cart CTA, product tiles, and image carousel, alongside purchasing performance.
The redesigned Sample Kit PDP reported improvements in conversion and sample kit purchasing performance. +5.36% Conversion Rate uplift, +11.27% Sample kit purchasers, +12.76% Sample kit revenue, +37.93% Modin LVP Bestsellers Sample Kit purchases.

The redesigned experience delivered a reported 5.36% Conversion Rate uplift among users who visited the PDP and saw the tags. The experiment also recorded increases in sample kit purchasers and sample kit revenue, with particularly strong growth in purchases of the Modin LVP Bestsellers Sample Kit.
These results indicate a positive response to the redesigned experience, although the supplied results do not establish which individual design change contributed most to the uplift.
Product exploration and ordering should work together. The variation brought sample selection, product imagery, and ordering actions into a more connected experience.
Visual collection choices can make product options easier to explore. Presenting collection options and sample tiles visually gave shoppers additional ways to review the available products.

A sticky CTA creates another route to ordering. The redesign introduced an ordering action that remained accessible during the mobile PDP experience.
Measure the purchase, not just the interaction. The experiment tracked engagement with individual PDP elements alongside conversion, sample kit purchasers, and revenue. This helped assess the redesigned experience beyond clicks alone.

Flooret’s Sample Kit PDP needed to support customers as they explored flooring options and decided which samples to order.
The redesign brought collection selection, product visuals, and ordering actions into a more interactive mobile experience. The reported outcome was a 5.36% Conversion Rate uplift, alongside an 11.27% increase in sample kit purchasers and a 12.76% increase in sample kit revenue.
The experiment shows how changes to the product exploration and ordering experience can be evaluated against actual purchasing behavior.
